I don't believe lucky charms have magical powers all on their own. A money tree won't grow your bank account while you sleep, and a gold coin sitting on your desk won't suddenly fill your calendar with dream clients. But I do believe symbols have power because of the meaning we give them.

A lucky bamboo by your front door might remind you to stay rooted while continuing to grow. For years, I thought confidence would come after I reached a certain income. I believed I'd feel successful once I had enough clients, enough testimonials, or enough money in my bank account. I was waiting for the external evidence before I gave myself permission to think like a successful business owner.
But somewhere along the way, I realized I had it completely backwards. The women I admired weren't thinking abundantly because they were wealthy. They had become wealthy because they learned to think abundantly first.
That doesn't mean pretending your challenges don't exist or ignoring the realities of building a business. It means choosing, every day, to align your thoughts, habits, and decisions with the woman you're becoming rather than the woman you've always been.
I often ask myself a simple question:
"What would my future self do?"
It's a question that has the power to interrupt fear and replace it with intention.
Would my future self avoid following up with a potential client because she was afraid of hearing "no"?

Several teachers have profoundly influenced the way I think about this idea of becoming our future selves. Lenka Lutonska has inspired me to see success as an identity we step into before we see it reflected in our bank account. Regan Hillyer encourages entrepreneurs to expand into the highest version of themselves instead of waiting for permission to grow. Her teachings remind me that our vision should always be bigger than our current circumstances.
And one of my favorite authors, Joe Dispenza, explores how our thoughts create new neural pathways. The more we intentionally practice thinking, feeling, and acting as our future selves, the more familiar those patterns become. Eventually, they stop feeling like something we're trying to achieve and simply become part of who we are.
Although each of these teachers approaches the topic from a unique perspective, they all point toward a similar truth:

One of the simplest ways I nurture my future self is through books. I love surrounding myself with voices that stretch my thinking and challenge the stories I've believed about money, confidence, leadership, and success.
Every book becomes a conversation with someone who's already walked a path I hope to travel. Reading isn't just about gathering information—it's about expanding what's possible in your mind.
The same is true with affirmations. I'll admit, years ago affirmations felt a little awkward to me. Repeating words in the mirror seemed strange at first. But I eventually realized the goal isn't to convince yourself of something overnight. The goal is to gently replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones through repetition.
Some mornings my affirmations sound like this:
"I create value wherever I go."
"The right clients are looking for someone exactly like me."
"I confidently ask for the sale because I believe in the transformation I provide."

Meditation has also become an important part of my routine. In the middle of a busy week filled with client calls, family responsibilities, and endless to-do lists, taking even ten quiet minutes allows me to reconnect with the version of myself I'm intentionally creating.
Sometimes that meditation is simply visualizing my future.
I picture myself confidently walking onto a stage to speak.
I imagine coaching women who are building thriving businesses and changing lives in their own communities.
I picture celebrating client wins, writing another book, or hosting a room full of incredible women who are finally believing in themselves.
The more vividly I can imagine that future and feel the feelings of already receiving it, the more naturally I begin making decisions that move me toward it.

Rather than only writing down goals, I love journaling from the perspective of my future self.
Instead of asking, "How do I become successful?" I ask, "What does successful Kristina already know?"
Instead of writing, "I hope I become a confident speaker," I might write, "Today I stepped onto another stage knowing my story would encourage someone who needed to hear it."
Instead of saying, "I wish I had more clients," I write, "I'm so grateful for the incredible women I get to coach and the transformations we're creating together."
These journal entries aren't about pretending my current reality doesn't exist. They're about practicing the thoughts, gratitude, and confidence of the woman I'm growing into.
Because becoming your future self isn't about perfection.
It's about alignment.
It's choosing thoughts that create hope instead of fear.
It's developing habits that reflect your goals instead of your doubts.

Yet none of these symbols can make the decision for us.

They can't overcome our fear of rejection.

I don't believe in chasing wealth luck or hoping the perfect opportunity simply appears one day.
